I am in pursuit of what happens when two unlikely images converge.  Using multiple surface design techniques on silk, sometimes more than twenty layers of process, I interlace the two pieces together in one-inch strips in patterns from my previous life as a weaver.

Raised in the Midwest where grids and crop lines have become part of me on a cellular level, I am constantly surprised to see these themes again emerging in my interlacement work.  I now live in agricultural Eastern Washington where I am surrounded by images from my youth.
